Sweden’s capital city spreads out over 14 islands in Lake Mälaren and looks out proudly to the Baltic Sea to the east. Her grand public buildings, palaces, rich cultural history and museums tell her 700 year-old history beautifully.
Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the Old Town (Gamla Stan) where the conference welcome reception will be held at Restaurang Stortorgskällaren in the main square Stortorget.
The 12th International Conference and Exhibition will take place on the island of Nacka at the Nacka Strandsmässan, address:
Arriving from Arlanda airport, you may take the train (~490SEK return) in 20mins or the bus approx. 40mins (~198SEK return) to Central Station. To reach Nacka from Central station you have two options:
1. Walk 15mins to Nybrohamnen and from there take the 30min ride by commuter boat M/S ballerina to Nacka. The conference venue is approx. 6mins walk from the boat station.
2. From Central Station take the metro T18 two stops to Slussen (direction Farsta strand). At Slussen exit the metro train and turn RIGHT to walk to the far end of the platform and exit to the bus station zone. At bus stop V take the 443 bus to Nacka. The bus runs every 20mins and takes approx. 13mins. However they do not take cash or cards on the bus. We strongly recommend you buy a Forkopremsa at the travel desk at the airport. This costs 200SEK and will get you multiple (~8) journey's around Stockholm by metro or bus and it can be shared between more than one person (e.g. 4 journeys for 2 people).
A third option is the 443C bus which departs from Central Station and takes approximately 17 minutes to reach Nacka. However please note that the service is somewhat limited.
