This workshop will provide an overview of key advancements in precision bearings.  It will be provided by a combination of technical specialists from prominent bearing companies, precision system designers, mechatronic consultants and leading academics.

Reviews will be given advocating recent “breakthroughs” and “key advancements” of bearing technologies.  Coverage will include; rolling element, fluid film and active magnetic bearings as applied to precision and ultra precision rotary and linear motions.  In between each of the short reviews time will be given for demonstration videos, sample viewing, questions, opinions and debate.

This workshop presents a unique opportunity to learn of new bearing developments and to engage in discussions for future requirements.
